Anyone know about the usda home loans?
Hi we got preapproved and they just did ther residental mortgage report and our score was 610 when they like to see 620 i was wondering if anyone knew if we are going to get it or not and also if you have any idea of how much our income is about 500 a wk which is around 24000 a yr.thankyou
USDA home loans? Any recommendations of brokers/companies, what about Amerisave?
Does anyone know of any companies brokers that do USDA loans? Right now my husband and I have been pre qualified with Amerisave but I searched their name and there were some complaints about them. Also has anyone ever used Amerisave? I checked them on the better business bureau and they got an A and their rates are great but when I googled them they had some complaints about not closing in time so we're checking out other companies brokers. How long of a wait for a USDA home loan to be approved?
The loan has already been processed by the loan officer and their underwriter. It has been sent to USDA. How long of a turnaround time should we expect for USDA to approve the loan? In NC if that makes a difference.
Are USDA home loans a good way to go?
My hubby and I have applied for a USDA loan. we met with the lady, she said we would be approved based on what we provided. We are waiting for all employment information to be returned to prove everything we said is correct. I am worried that we will have an outrageous interest rate since the paperwork said if we borrowed $135,000, we would repay $266,000. We are 1st time buyers and have no idea how or where to begin with buying a house. I dont want to sign the dotted line without knowing if I can pay off the debt or not. I am set to graduate in 2009, so I know we will have the money to pay a larger house payment then, but we need our own home now. Renting isn't cuttting it. Anyone else go the same route as we are going? Any advice?

I live in washington state and we have been waiting on word from usda for about 40 days and finally heard back that our loan was approved. but my loan officer said now we have to make sure the paper work is clean? what does that mean. how long after usda approvs can we sign and get our keys?

Can the US Treasury destroy a single moms life over defaulting on a USDA home loan?
My neighbors a divorced mom with 2 kids & bought her house thru a USDA Rural Development home loan. She has a lot of $ issues with child support, medical bills, etc & had a delinquency workout agreement after they denied a subsidy increase. She works a full time job making $34K yr & is supposed to pay $1100 mo for her home loan but cant make her payments. Her and her kids have gotten sick from mold in the house and it needs a lot of repairs or its gonna fall apart. She got a letter saying the US Treasury may take her tax refund, garnish her wages and the US Dept of Justice may take legal action against her. She's past due $4200 and cant come up with the $.
What's the advantage of a USDA home loan?
If I only qualify for a 100k with a conventional loan, am I still going to qualify for the same amount with a usda loan? Is the advantage that I can finance the closing cost and any other cost associated with buying a home and also I don't need a down payment?
